What we believe…

  • In the verbal plenary inspiration of the Bible.
  • In One God existing in three persons; namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • That Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.  That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead on the third day.  That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor, Advocate, and Lord of the church.
  • That all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and is necessary for forgiveness of sins.
  • That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are received by faith in the blood and the finished work of the cross in Christ Jesus.
  • In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in Christ as Lord, is found in the Word of God and lived out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • That holiness is God’s standard of living for His people.
  • In the baptism and filling of the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart.
  • In the divine impartation of all spiritual gifts as God wills which could include but is not limited to speaking with other tongues, healing, and the gift of interpretation.
  • That all spiritual gifts are from God and are to be used according to Scripture for the building up of the body of Christ.
  • In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
  • Divine healing is available for all as God wills through the blood atonement of Christ.
  • The Lord’s Supper and the washing of the saint’s feet.
  • In the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ.  First, the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the catching away of the living saints in the air with Jesus.  Second, the literal reign of Christ on the earth for a thousand years.  Third, to the ushering in of the new heavens and the new earth and the eternal state of man.
  • In the bodily resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.  For eternal punishment in Hell for the unrighteous, and eternal life in Heaven for the righteous.
  • We do not believe that the only initial evidence of being baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:30 specifically says, “All do not speak in tongues do they?”
